Rewarding Yourself Is Important

I strongly believe that you need to reward yourself every now and then or when you reach a milestone on your journey. For me when I hit 25KG's lost I decided that it was time for me to buy a new toy. So I spent ages researching, comparing and testing various toys till I found the one that I knew was for me.

AEK455N, a 2005 Seadoo RXP. Last weekend I went up the Hawkesbury river with some family and friends and went exploring with my good mate Shane Quinn from work who also decided after hearing me rave about my new toy for weeks that he needed one.

Illawarra Mercury Health Expo Kembla Grange Racecourse

Well I have a mammoth weekend coming up, I've just returned from giving a talk on Celebrity Slim and my experiences with the product since I started my weight loss journey. I met a bunch of great people from the Priceline stores at Kiama, Shellharbour and surrounds. I hope that some of those in attendance got something out of my talk. I am now awaiting some photo's of the event which seemed to be a success for them down there.

I must admit I did experience something that reinforced something I already know, do NOT bag your competitors. I was walking through the expo looking around and got to another "weight loss" stand where the guy manning the stand asked me if I was interested in losing weight, I told him that I was but was already with Celebrity Slim at which point he proceeded to tell me about how he thinks Celebrity Slim is a waste of time and wouldn't work for me. Boy did he look embarrassed 30 minutes later when I was on centre stage explaining that I'd lost over 35 KG's in 3.5 months...

Now I have to get ready for the Good Guys MVR (Most Valued Representative) Awards night at the Powerhouse Museum followed by a full day of photography tomorrow for Funflight.

Saturday November 7th Kembla Grange Health Expo

Well it's been a while between drinks but anyway I will be giving a talk on Celebrity Slim at the Health & Wellbeing Expo in Kembla Grange on Saturday 7th November. Stay tuned for a more in depth update but I am currently in Port Macquarie as part of my work trip and just doing some work after knocking off my 1/4 chicken and large garden salad, now weighing in at 144.00 KG's so a total loss of 33 KG's since I started my journey.

Day 1 - 2GB Studios Chris Smith Celebrity Slim Challenge!

Well, this was my "Before" photograph taken at 2GB Radio in Sydney as we started day one of the "2GB Celebrity Slim Weight Loss Challenge" on the Chris Smith afternoon program.

The program was sponsored by 2GB and Celebrity Slim and consisted of two teams, one of a group of 5 listeners and the other 5 2GB staffers including Chris Smith the host of the show. For 4 weeks both teams stuck to the Celebrity Slim program to try and lose that W8!

I weighed in at a whopping 177.2KG's. To give you something to think about I am 178 CM's tall, as my Mum pointed out I weighed one whole Kilogram for every Centimetre I had in height, scary thought!

D-Day!

Well no it's not really D-Day but it is day one of the rest of my weight loss journey, and I'm hoping that you will find my post's interesting, informative, helpful and motivating.

I'd like to use this blog to track my day to day weight loss so that I can share some of the skills I'll learn and develop, with you to help you with your weight loss or other issues.

I started my weight loss journey at 177.2 KG's back in July, a mammoth weight in anybody's books. I have nothing to lose and a lot to gain so here goes!

Day one of my journey was July 8, so that means as of today I have been going for a total of:

81 days, or...
  • 6,998,400 seconds
  • 116,640 minutes
  • 1944 hours
  • 11 weeks (rounded down)
But it doesn't feel that long at all really!!
